With little time left on our schedule (due to Alina having such an enjoyable time in Udaipur) and a lot to see, we splurged on a driver to take us from Udaipur to Jodhpur, a city on our way to Agra.
The roads of India never ceased to be terrifying and shocking, despite how much time we spent on them. Our driver skillfully navigated around obstacles that were human, animal, vehicular, natural, and undetermined in nature. For an example of the latter category, please see below:
The driver also insisted that we make an unplanned stop at a famous hilltop fortress on our way to Jodhpur. He must have told us the name of said fortress twenty times as we drove up the winding mountains road towards it. However, it was the Indian equivalent of the Rural Juror and we simply could not understand that the name he kept saying was Kumbhalgarh. Go ahead, say it, see if anyone understands.

"The fortress of #$&*@^%^# is truly magnificent", said the driver |
After the long drive up the mountain, came the long drive down. We were comforted by the MANY, many roadsigns that read "slow down, hundreds of people die on this very mountain road" as we sped around the curves slowing down only occasionally for a kodak moment.

Jeremy and Alina,
