Partying and Biking in Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat, just outside of Siem Reap, Cambodia is one of the must-see sites in Southeast Asia. It is the largest religious monument in the world, and it is surrounded by a dozen other impressive temples that the Khmer Empire erected between the ninth and twelfth centuries.

SIEM REAP TOWN is just a jumping off point for the temples so it has turned into a busy touristy down, a little artificial but quite cute.

Dinner in touristy downtown

Coca Cola being creepy

Soaking up free AC in a mall arcade

VROOM!  VROOM!
Dinner at Haven, a restaurant that is also a training center empowering orphans
who are getting too old for orphanages by training them for careers in hospitality.

ANGKOR WAY - DAY 1: We rented bikes and quickly looked at the temples without doing much research.  We found the temple where Tomb Raider was filmed and spent a LOT of time in Tomb Raider mode.

This is right before Jeremy found the golden statue, cursed by Ramses I (we think)

Behind this stone wall was a 300 meter drop. Alina jumped over it and then pulled herself up, Yes, we have a very vivid imagination

This is miniature Jeremy (bottom left) on a bike

A beer and a sunset. What else does one need?

ANKOR WAT DAY 2: We hired a guide.  He refused to give us any information but he did follow us around all day and took fantastic pictures of us.  The other fantastic pictures were taken by Jeremy.

We have taken up to practicing meditation ever since we learnt how to in Bangkok

Ridiculous cuteness, sunrise, and Angkor

Our guide forced us to take really stupid pictures all day

Practicing for a career in modelling

Is this a magical pictures or what?

This is how Alina eats pineapple when people are looking
... And this is what happens when she thinks no one is looking

We saw some monkeys in Angkor. Not surprisingly, it inspired Jeremy

BACK IN SIEM REAP we partied a little more with some new friends - a rare and happy occasion because we've mostly forgotten how to communicate with strangers.

On this picture, you can tell we are partying because we are drinking wine

Best party EVER

Our new friends. See: we told you they were real
